Experts from Strelka KB
will handle an intensive one-day workshop for architects, designers, developers and engineers, who want to learn how to work with the technologies of virtual and augmented reality. Nowadays technology is a mean of communication between a city and its citizens that returns human to the center of a paradigm of design and architecture in urban space.
Participants of the workshop will review various cases of applying AR and VR in Russian and international practice and discuss them through the prism of media channels theory. The participants will establish the understanding how AR and VR work: what elements the technology consists of, which soft and tools to use and how to create content.
In the practical part, participants will divide into teams, and each team will develop its own space for a VR-walk. They will use a game engine and soft for 3D modelling. Every member of the team will take part in creating of the final scene, from developing graphics to scanning handmade objects. They will learn how to export and import models and create VR scenes in VR glasses.

The workshop is free of charge, with a competitive selection of participants. To apply, submit the following form before November 21. The producer of the Institute will contact participants by November 26 to report on the results.
The workshop will be held on November 30, from 10 am to 7 pm, in Fab Lab at Lenpoligraphmash. The workshop will be held in Russian, without interpretation into English.
